Directory and business requests

We publish information submitted for business profiles, such as name, description, location, contact details, hours, photos, and links. A request to add or update a business may include the submitter's details and files that administrators review before publication.

Accounts, reviews, and comments

Sign-in uses Amazon Cognito. BoriConnect keeps a local user record and a session cookie to recognize the account. Business reviews and article comments are associated with the account that submitted them and may appear publicly under the site's moderation features. Administrators use account and activity data to manage content and requests.

Search, maps, and external services

When you submit a text query in the directory, the query and controlled search vocabulary may be sent to OpenAI for interpretation if the optional OpenAI provider is configured. Business results always come from BoriConnect; category or municipality filters without text query the directory directly.

Pages may display Google maps or location tools. When you use these features, your browser may communicate directly with Google, which may process data under its own terms. Images are stored in AWS S3; authentication uses Amazon Cognito. The application is hosted on Google Cloud Run and stores records in PostgreSQL.

Cookies and advertising

We use necessary cookies for sign-in and some temporary workflows. A first-party cookie stores the optional-cookie choice. Details are in the Cookie Policy.

Google AdSense infrastructure is prepared, but advertising is disabled: its script does not load and no publisher or ad slot identifiers are configured. If activated later, loading will require advertising consent and any other applicable conditions.

Retention and choices

Data is kept as needed to maintain directory features, administer accounts and content, process requests, and meet operational needs. Some features let users delete their own content, and administrators can moderate or remove content. There is no single deletion period for all data.
